  • Coordinating the ISDN circuit installation.
  • A single dialup account for maintenance purposes.

  • 24 hour monitoring of your connection.
  • IP address blocks as necessary.
  • Primary/Secondary DNS service for one domain.

Dial-up ISDN Accounts

ISDN is a high-speed, fully digital communications technology that supports voice and data transfers. Dial-up ISDN service allows for faster, more reliable connections. An ISDN connection is either 64Kb/second or 128Kb/second. ISDN connections are always 64000 or 128000 connections, no more 21600 connects with your 33.6 modem. ISDN calls generally connect and login in less than 10 seconds.

Because ISDN reconnects quickly, the idle timeout is set to 5 minutes. There is no compression and Metro Provider LLC will not establish connections to you.

ISDN dial-up accounts provide all the features of our regular dial-up accounts.

Our ISDN dial-up accounts are designed for use with an ISDN terminal adapter. Most ISDN routers will require use of an 8 IP subnet. An 8 IP subnet of addresses is available for an additional $19.95 a month and can only be added onto our ISDN 128k account.

Metro Provider LLC recommends the 3COM Impact IQ Terminal Adapter and the Netgear RT328 router for use with our dial-up ISDN accounts.
